ID verification
Event organisers often face challenges in managing attendee check-ins and verifying identities, particularly when age restrictions or the serving of alcoholic beverages are involved.
To address this, Klipspringer provides organisers with the flexibility to require, encourage, or disable identity verification according to the nature of their event.
Require
Tickets are only able to be purchased once the attendee has successfully completed the identity verification process. It is not generally recommended unless absolutely necessary for legal or safety reasons.
Encourage
In this mode, attendees are invited (although not obliged) to verify their identity prior to the event. A small banner will appear containing a message similar to the following:
[Event Name] lets you skip the identity check line for free! Verify online ahead of time (optional) and walk straight in. Verify here with didit!
Upon check-in, your screen will indicate whether the attendee has already completed identity verification.
Disable
When this option is selected, the identity verification feature is deactivated, and participants will not be offered verification at any stage of registration or check-in.
Pricing and Provider Information
Identity verification is provided free of charge. Klipspringer's verification partner, Didit, operates within the European Union (Barcelona, Spain) and finances its services through optional premium features, such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML) list lookups and e-mail verification, which Klipspringer does not use.
It is important to note that only Didit will see your attendees' ID verification. We do not store it, nor do we wish to store it. You will also not be able to see it.
